“The grant is focused on the replacement of the Ruby Road Bridge located over Potrero
Creek, which will become the sole bridge spanning both the floodplain and Union Pacific
Railroad (UPRR) line. The project addresses a critical east-west connection that will create
reliable community access and improve safety for this underserved area.
Under the proposed timeline for the project, design work is estimated to conclude fall of 2024
with construction beginning in Spring of 2025 and project completion estimated mid-2026.”
